(14.5% alcohol):  Good dark red.  Aromas of black cherry, currant, plum, loam, chocolate, mint and graphite.  Supple and fine-grained, with enticing currant, spice, menthol and mint flavors framed and lifted by harmonious acidity.  Round, pliant merlot with moderate complexity but attractive balance and a seamless texture.  The sweet finish shows some slightly gritty chocolatey tannins.
