92 Points | International Wine Cellar , March/April 2013

Pale gold.   Intense aromas of white flowers, lemon zest, peach and minerals, with a spicy overtone.  Dry, racy and precise on entry, then deeper in the mid-palate, offering sappy pit fruit and floral flavors and a touch of candied ginger.   Finishes silky and long, with resonating floral and anise notes.  I also had the chance to revisit the 2010 bottling of this wine, which is deep, chewy and impressively powerful, but with a surprising lightness of touch.  It came from what Desnervois called "a naturally very low yield, even before any selection in the vines" and is a wine he expects to age slowly and positively.
