About Maison Chapoutier
Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

Inky ruby. Spicy raspberry and cherry scents are complicated by notes of olive, woodsmoke and cracked pepper, with a subtle floral quality emerging with aeration. Juicy and precise on the palate, offering energetic red and dark berry flavors and a touch of licorice. The smoky note comes back on the finish, which is firmed by dusty, slow-building tannins.
