About Araujo Estate

Their flagship bottling is dense, powerful and rich, typically with soil-inflected notes of plum, mocha, tobacco and smoke, and very suave tannins.

92-95 Points | International Wine Cellar , May/June 2013

(98% cabernet sauvignon and 2% cabernet franc):  Medium-deep ruby-red color.  Explosive aromas of blueberry liqueur and bay laural, with a floral topnote.  A lovely harmonious midweight, with enticing dark berry flavors and noteworthy energy.  Today there's a bit less stuffing to support the dusty tannins than the 2010 possesses but I would expect this wine to put on weight during its final year of elevage.
