About Maison Chapoutier
Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

91-93 Points | International Wine Cellar , March/April 2013
Vivid ruby. Heady aromas of cherry-cola, cassis, incense and vanilla. Shows very good density, with a firm spine of acidity lifting dark berry preserve, violet pastille and cola flavors. Becomes richer with air while maintaining a vivacious personality. A spicy quality comes up with air and carries through a long, sappy, youthfully tannic finish.
