(15.7% alcohol; Turley has farmed this vineyard since 1997; the crop yield was less than a ton an acre in 2011 owing to wet weather during the flowering): Good full red. Pure, high-pitched aromas of crushed cherry, pepper and orange zest. At once sweet and powerful on the palate, with intense red fruit flavors offering terrific cut. Finishes very long, with substantial dusty tannins and a felicitous combination of breadth and cut.
