Deep, saturated ruby.  Highly complex nose combines black raspberry, menthol, licorice, smoke and graphite.  Broad, sweet and extremely fine-grained, with lovely sweetness to the plush flavors of currant, minerals and mocha.  With its perfectly integrated acidity and firm, noble tannins, this should enjoy a long and glorious evolution in the bottle.
