About Maison Chapoutier
Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

Opaque ruby. A heady, alluring bouquet evokes candied red fruits, potpourri, cracked pepper and Asian spices. Stains the palate with juicy black raspberry and cherry flavors that gain weight and a floral quality with aeration. Rich yet lively, finishing with superb clarity and lingering spiciness. The most Burgundian of this year's high-end Hermitages from Chapoutier, showing plenty of upfront sex appeal.
