About Beringer Vineyards
Founded in 1876, Beringer is the oldest continuously operating vineyard in Napa Valley. 2010 Beringer Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon Bancroft Ranch Howell Mountain
Producer: Beringer Vineyards
Style: Red Wine
Grape Type: Cabernet Sauvignon
Origin: California
Region: Napa
Appellation: Howell Mountain
93(+?) Points | International Wine Cellar , May/June 2013
Bright, saturated ruby. Crushed cassis, black cherry, blueberry, bitter chocolate and licorice on the somewhat medicinal nose. Densely packed and extract-rich, with almost peppery acidity giving sharp definition to the black fruit, crushed rock and bitter chocolate flavors. No easy sweetness here. A saline element adds another dimension to this impressively sappy, tactile cabernet. Finishes broad and rich, with a serious tannic spine for aging.
