Bright, saturated ruby.  Crushed cassis, black cherry, blueberry, bitter chocolate and licorice on the somewhat medicinal nose.  Densely packed and extract-rich, with almost peppery acidity giving sharp definition to the black fruit, crushed rock and bitter chocolate flavors.  No easy sweetness here.  A saline element adds another dimension to this impressively sappy, tactile cabernet.  Finishes broad and rich, with a serious tannic spine for aging.
