Pale gold.  Sexy, floral-accented aromas of poached pear and melon, with a bright citrus topnote.  Juicy and expansive, offering an array of orchard and pit fruit flavors that are given spine by tangy acidity.  Closes with very good energy and lift, leaving a dusty mineral note behind.  This fruit is all grown in the southern sector of the appellation, where, Guigal said, the harvest took place "a full ten days later than in the northern part."
