(aged for two years in oak, 30% of it new): Bright ruby. Spice-accented dark berries and flowers on the highly perfumed nose. Plush, round and rich, with great intensity of blueberry and violet pastille flavors. Bright acidity leavens this wine's richness, adding lift and back-end cut. Quite suave, finishing with smooth tannins and sappy dark fruit qualities.
