About Maison Chapoutier
Maison Chapoutier, the first négociant and producer to mark their bottlings with braille, was established in 1879 by Polydor Chapoutier. The business has remained family owned since then and is now run by Michel Chapoutier. His hands off approach to winemaking has lead to a resurgence in quality at Maison Chapoutier, which now produces some of the finest wines in the Rhone region of France.

Deep, glass-staining ruby. A highly aromatic nose displays scents of blackcurrant, cherry-cola and violet, with a spicy topnote. Juicy, spicy and penetrating, with bright acidity energizing the flavors of cassis, blackberry, violet pastille and bitter chocolate. Intensely perfumed and pure, finishing with supple tannins and strong, spicy persistence.
