New Year's Eve 2013/2014 Pinot Noir tasting

The wine finished second of the six Chad Pinot Noirs tasted. It was medium-bodied with muted cherry and raspberry flavors with a menthol flavored ending. The 14.5% alcohol is just beginning to show.
What a bargain

Character is much fresher style and a bit tangier but the wine is nice and tasty. It is medium intensity rose in clor and fruit and atuch of speice on the nose. Flavor is a dusty sour cherry and nice smooth tannic finish

Nice pinot for a simple, daily pour...a bit tangy on the tongue...has a blast of berries that are flavorful and enjoyable...just not as lush and velvety as I normally like.
still needs time

I had my 3rd bottle of this wine and I must say now I am quite disappointed in it. Poor finish, not enough body, not really anything like the 2010. Recommendation, SKIP!
Too young to drink now.

A disappointing follow up to the 2010. Lacking in flavor and character.

Pinot Noir

Adored by critics, prized by collectors, Pinot Noir is one of most tantalizing yet temperamental varietals in the world. For many wine enthusiasts, this is part of the appeal of Pinot -- it doesn't reveal its charms easily. Pinot Noir's virtue also stems from the unique characteristics of the grape. The skins are especially delicate, which accounts for the lighter color and body of finished wine. But, despite the delicacy, the best wines have excellent backbone and...
