Dark ruby.  Aromas of blueberry, coffee, cocoa and herbs.  Dense and chewy in texture, with slightly warm dark fruit compote and coffee flavors complicated by a touch of back-end smokiness.  Rich and a tad syrupy, finishing with good punch and lingering sweetness.  Easygoing entry-level merlot.
