(made from fruit grown in Chassis and raised entirely in foudres):  Bright purple.  High-pitched aromas of black and blue fruits, anise and cracked pepper.  Textbook syrah, offering tangy blackberry and cassis flavors with a refreshingly bitter edge.  Closes with gentle tannic grip and good, spicy length.
