90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - February 2013

Inky ruby.  Aromatic herbs (cilantro, cardamom) and floral notes complement dark plum on the nose.  More austere on the palate, with dried blueberry and cedar flavors joined by a flinty quality at the back.  Finishes with polished tannins and a slight lack of fruit.  This wine will pick up flesh and volume with food; although the weaker vintage has resulted in a wine that's a little less rich and expansive than usual, it's still a very classy, pure effort.
