(15.5% alcohol):  Saturated bright ruby.  High-toned aromas of blackberry, licorice and crushed rock.  Dense, layered and deep, showing a port-like ripeness but just enough energy to maintain its balance.  A bit aggressive with alcohol but this open-knit wine also has plenty of black cherry and dark berry fruit.
