Good dark red.  Aromas of redcurrant, cherry, plum, cocoa powder, chocolate and mocha on the rather oaky nose.  Supple, plump and sweet on the palate, showing a very ripe kirsch quality along with dark fruits and bitter chocolate.  This plush, dusty, seamless wine is given extra density and energy by the 2010 vintage.  Finishes with firm tannins that dust the mouth and front teeth.  This serious merlot should reward aging.
