(no oak):  Light yellow-gold.  Smoky, expansive pear and melon aromas are complicated by notes of vanilla and buttered toast.  Smells like some oak is in play here, but none was used.  Spicy and broad on the palate, offering juicy orchard fruit flavors and a hint of honeysuckle.  Closes smooth and long, with very good energy and lift.
