(13.2% alcohol; vinified with about 12% whole clusters): Good full red. Complex aromas of black raspberry, black cherry, graphite and black tea, lifted by a floral high note. Juicy, spicy and penetrating, offering superb intensity and acid support to its flavors of dark fruits and black pepper. Quite taut, even austere, today, but the wine's precision, serious tannic spine and length suggest it will evolve positively and last well in bottle. A superb showing.
