91 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2013

(15.9% alcohol; includes 5% petite sirah):  Good medium ruby.  Crushed blackberry, licorice, pepper and a hint of rhubarb on the nose.  Larger-scaled and more intense in the mouth than the Gino's example, showing vibrant black plum, dark berry, pepper and licorice flavors.  "Our new world zin," says Sbragia.  Finishes with lovely sweetness and good tannic support.  Noteworthy intensity here.
