(14.2% alcohol; 60% new oak): Pale, bright straw-yellow. Subtle aromas of peach syrup, apple and spices, lifted by high notes of orange oil and flowers. Densely packed and tightly coiled, with enticing sweetness leavened by penetrating minerally acidity. For a fairly glyceral wine, this chardonnay finishes stony, brisk and strong. There were 56 barrels of this juice--or just over 1,200 cases!
