Light, bright gold. Intense, mineral-accented aromas of lemon curd, orange, toasty lees and vanilla. Sappy, focused citrus fruit and pear flavors are lifted by a zesty mineral quality, picking up sweet butter and anise notes with air. Chewy, gripping and refreshingly bitter on the long and spicy finish. Alex told me that the yield from this site in 2011 was less than a ton per acre.
