Bright, dark ruby-red. Blackberry, blueberry, licorice and violet complemented by spicy oak on the nose. Ripe, sweet and primary, with harmonious acidity framing the flavors of crushed black fruits. Slightly medicinal, even grapey, today but has the extract and energy to gain in complexity with bottle aging. Tannins are sweeter than those of the 2010 cabernet.
