Inky ruby. Spicy cherry and blackcurrant on the nose, with suave mocha and anise adding complexity. Mineral-accented red and dark berry flavors are youthfully taut but display impressive concentration, with a vanilla quality adding complexity. Closes spicy and long, with excellent clarity, persistence and late, palate-grabbing tannins. Shows wonderful finesse for a zin and delivers remarkable value.
