88-90 Points | International Wine Cellar , April 2013

Medium deep ruby-purple.  Perfumed, refined aromas and flavors of black cherry, spicy dark plum, licorice, cedar and ink.  Smooth and quite long on the finish. Gruaud was one of the rare properties in 2012 where petit verdot managed to ripen fully.  In fact, the grand vin contains 6.5% petit verdot, Gruaud's entire crop from these vines.
