Good bright ruby-red.  Very dark aromas of crushed blackberry, licorice, mocha, woodsmoke and wild herbs, plus a whiff of smoky earth.  Spicy, savory and concentrated, with juicy dark fruit flavors nicely framed by sound acidity.  Finishes with serious, slightly rough tannins and good lift.  This young pinotage seems a bit more extractive than some past versions of this bottling.
