91 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2013

Good full red.  Superripe berries, red cherry, pepper, smoke and mint on the nose.  At once velvety and energetic, with subtle intensity to the red berry and spice flavors. Nicely round and edge-free.  Finishes ripely tannic, juicy and fairly dry, with lovely cherry perfume and noteworthy lift.  (In comparison to this vibrant wine, the E Zinfandel showed some stewed fruit notes.)
