(from tinta de toro vines planted in 1965; malo in new French oak, then another 18 months of aging in more new French oak):  Dark purple.  Powerful aromas of cassis, licorice, roasted coffee and cocoa powder.  Juicy and broad in the mouth, offering dark fruit liqueur flavors lifted by sexy floral and oak spice qualities.  Shows real intensity on the creamy, clinging finish, which features polished tannins and a note of smoky minerals.
