89 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2013

Dark red with a saturated middle.  Very ripe, musky aromas of stewed plum, smoke, spice cake and chocolatey oak, lifted by a minty nuance.  Fat, sweet and fairly full, with plum, red berry and spice flavors firmed on the end by dusty, peppery tannins that coat the front teeth.  Rather old-fashioned but varietally expressive and rich pinotage with some exotic smoky, chocolatey oak tones.
