Vivid red.  The nose displays sexy aromas of black raspberry, cherry-cola and licorice, along with a smoky overtone and floral and spice accents.  Juicy, penetrating and pure, offering impressive power for the vintage.  The sweet dark berry and cherry flavors are given spine and lift by juicy acidity.  The floral and cola notes come back on the youthfully tannic finish, which clings with excellent tenacity.
