Pale yellow.  High-pitched, smoke-accented aromas and flavors of lemon, pear and anise.  Juicy and precise, with very good finishing clarity and spicy length.  Strikes a nice balance between the Alsace and northern Italy renditions of the variety, with great flexibility at the table.
