About Domaine Francois Raveneau
Named for its original proprietor, who, sadly, left us in 2000, Domaine Francois Raveneau is a goliath in Chablis. Raveneau's two sons, Bernard & Jean-Marc, now continue the family tradition, maintaining a commitment to natural wine.
91-94 Points | International Wine Cellar , July/August 2013
(from 75- and 50-year-old vines): Good pale, bright yellow. Musky, slightly reduced nose hints at lemon, herbs and white pepper. In a rather generous style following the Montee de Tonneau and Butteaux samples, but with lovely energy to the juicy, fruit-driven grapefruit and lemon flavors. Best today on the long, rising finish.
