About Domaine William Fevre
Fevre was once good. Now it's great. In fact, the improvement of this house is one of the most exciting developments in Chablis in the past 20 years. The ownership of the Henriot family of Champagne, which also owns Bouchard Père et Fils in Beaune, has resulted in a striking transformation.
93(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - July/August 2014
(from a crop level of 32 hectoliters per hectare, according to Seguier): Bright, pale yellow. Complex, ripe, slightly reduced nose offers lemon drop and iodiney oyster-shell minerality. Densely packed, ripe and suave; at once supple and sharply delineated, displaying excellent cut and mineral tension to its vibrant lemon and crushed stone flavors. Then bracing and a bit youthfully taut on the long, echoing finish. A real wine-class premier cru showcasing the Kimmeridgian soil. There's much more to come.
