About Bethel Heights Vineyard
A family operation through and through, this Willamette Valley vineyard has been run by the Casteel—Dudley—Webb family conglomerate since 1977. It’s a testament to the possibilities of cooperation that 11, yes 11, family members are currently co-owners of the vineyard. There is also a profound respect for the environment here. Ted Casteel, one of the vineyard’s founders, also co-founded the Low Input Viticulture and Enology certification program for sustainable viticulture.

Ruby-red. Aromas of dried cherry, redcurrant and peppery spices, with notes of licorice and musky earth adding depth. On the palate, incisive bitter cherry and licorice flavors are given spine by juicy acidity and unfold slowly with air. Becomes steadily sweeter on the nicely focused finish, which is firmed by fine-grained tannins.
