More About This Wine
Almost thirty years ago Harry Peterson-Nedry began scouting potential vineyard locations in Oregon's burgeoning wine country. He soon discovered what's now called Ribbon Ridge, an ancient, uniform sedimentary hillside at the extreme western end of the Chehalem Mountains. There, he planted the Ridgecrest Vineyard, Chehalem's oldest, in 1982.
88 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - July/August 2013
Dark red. Aromas of blackberry, vanilla and fresh rose, with a peppery overtone. Smooth and refreshingly tangy, with fresh dark berry and bitter cherry flavors complemented by subtle oak and mineral notes. Finishes smooth and sweet if a bit clipped, repeating the dark fruit note.
