87 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - November/December 2013

(39% mourvedre, 29% grenache, 14% syrah, 9% carignan, 7% counoise and 2% cinsault):  Good bright medium red.  Musky aromas of pie cherry, spices, sandalwood and black pepper, complicated by a candied grenache note and a whiff of leather.  Firm and savory on the palate, but could use a bit more energy to the flavors of raspberry, spices, pepper, herbs and leather.  Finishes with dusty tannins and modest verve.  Incidentally, there will be no more Subduction White from Syncline.
