About Chateau Latour
One of the oldest producers in France, Chateau Latour has been making top quality wines in Bordeaux for centuries. Awarded Premier Cru status in 1855, Latour has not looked back. Today its Grand Vin is one of the finest Cabernets in the world.
91(+?) Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - June 2014
Inky purple. Closed nose hints at blackcurrant, flint, violet and cedar. On the palate, dark berry and flint flavors are complicated by graphite and cedar. A lovely, very pure, lighter-styled Latour, but the mounting tannins are big and brawny, and the long finish is mouthcoatingly dry. Another 2011 red that currently lacks the flesh to stand up to its tannic spine. Forget about it in the cellar for at least another five years.
