(raised in three-year-old barrels):  Bright purple.  Deeply pitched blackberry, cherry and dark chocolate scents are lifted and sharpened by a peppery, spicy nuance.  Fleshy and sweet on entry, then more taut in the mid-palate, offering bitter cherry and mocha flavors and a touch of licorice.  Closes spicy and long, with very good focus and grip.  This wine is still very young and in need of some time to unwind.
