About Jean Foillard
In 1980, Jean Foillard took over his father’s estate winery in Villié-Morgon, expanding and overhauling operations. Today, Foillard possesses 14 hectares of some of the finest sites in Morgon: the sandy Corcelette parcel and a large chunk of the renowned, granitic Cote de Py.

Brilliant ruby. Potent, mineral-laced dark berry and floral scents are complemented by suggestions of licorice and black tea. Intense black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors pick up a smoky nuance with air. The mineral note comes back on the finish, which features dusty tannins and a sexy violet pastille quality. I really like this wine's focus.
