(all stainless steel):  Bright purple.  Jammy black and blue fruits on the nose and palate.  Smooth and open-knit, with very appealing fruitiness and subtle notes of bitter chocolate and cracked pepper on the finish.  There are no tannins to get in the way of immediate gratification here; in fact, there are plenty of $30 merlots out there that would be outclassed by this wine.
