91 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - September/October 2013

Inky ruby.  Expansive, smoke-accented aromas of blackberry and blueberry compote, cola and vanilla bean.  Lush and creamy in texture, with palate-staining dark fruit compote flavors complicated by suave oak spices.  The smoky quality comes back on the the powerful, very long, subtly tannic finish.  Shows a lot of intense fruit and seems surprisingly approachable now.
