(55% garnacha, 20% syrah, 15% cabernet sauvignon and 10% samso, from vines that are reportedly around 85 years old; aged for 15 months in small one- and two-year-old French oak barrels): Brilliant ruby. Sexy black and blue fruit aromas are complicated by smoky mineral and cola qualities. Fleshy cassis and blueberry flavors are sharpened and lifted by juicy acidity. Gains sweetness and depth with air, finishing with a suave note of black raspberry and silky, polished tannins.
