Pale straw. Citrus peel, powdered stone, flowers and a suggestion of curry powder on the nose. Pretty flavors of ripe pear and lime show refreshing cut and length. Firmer and more energetic than the village Chassagne. Incidentally, Etienne de Montille is now using 54-millimeter-wide DIAM 10 corks to seal these wines, which should offer more protection againstoxidation--and consistency from bottle to bottle--than most traditional corks.
