95 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - August 2014

(100% sangiovese):  Good bright, full red.  Knockout musky nose offers scents of raspberry, ripe red cherry, minerals, tobacco, smoke and underbrush; this is an absolute magnet for sangiovese lovers.  Then spicy, classically dry and distinctly lush in style, boasting superb clarity and lift to the rich, ripe raspberry, red cherry and truffle flavors.  Finishes with outstanding subtle, palate-staining length and uncommon precision.
