90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - November/December 2013
(70% grenache blanc and 30% roussanne, all from Alta Colina vineyard; all barrel-fermented, with 40% of the malolactic fermentation blocked; 15.1% alcohol): Bright yellow. Exotic tropical fruit and floral aromas are complicated by notes of honey and chamomile. Smooth, warm and fleshy, offering intense mango and licorice flavors and a bracing jolt of bitter lemon pith. Closes silky and long, with a hint of smokiness and surprising vivacity for its heft.
