(85% syrah and 15% garnacha tintorera; aged for 13 months in French oak): Dark purple. Explosively perfumed aromas of dark berries, candied plum, Indian spices and incense. Deeply concentrated blackberry and cassis flavors are surprisingly energetic and focused thanks to tangy acidity and a peppery topnote. Ripe black and blue fruit qualities carry through a long, sappy finish.
