90 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - November/December 2013

Good medium red.  Restrained, complex nose hints at red berries, menthol and tobacco.  Supple, spicy and sweet, with noteworthy definition and depth to the red berry and spice flavors.  The sweet, long finish features broad, ripe, tongue-dusting tannins.  Opened nicely with air.  Made from Barolo grapes, but this wine gets a cooler fermentation and shorter maceration than Scavino's Barolos.
