About Beringer Vineyards
Founded in 1876, Beringer is the oldest continuously operating vineyard in Napa Valley. Head winemaker Laurie Hook directs operations at 14 different vineyards which produce almost as many varieties of wine. Decadently rich Cabernet Sauvignons, lush Merlots and rich, exotic Chardonnays are the standout wines at Beringer.
91 Points | Stephen Tanzer's IWC - May/June 2014
Bright red-ruby. Cassis, licorice, graphite, peppery herbs and tobacco leaf on the nose, plus a whiff of chocolate mint. Classic youthfully medicinal cabernet; densely packed and pliant, with a light touch to the flavors of cassis, blueberry, menthol and graphite. Suave, energetic wine with easygoing tannins and a hint of youthful bitterness that's nicely supported by the wine's texture and sweetness.
