(with 4% petit verdot): Saturated ruby. Kirsch and crushed rock on the almost medicinal nose. Densely packed and highly concentrated, showing a chocolatey ripeness but also plenty of energy to the dark berry and mineral flavors. Really spreads out to saturate the palate on the back end, finishing with substantial tongue-dusting, thoroughly ripe tannins. Strong potential here.
